Featured works
Press play. Every piece below was written or arranged for singers like yours — and premiered by real high school choirs. Many pieces also offer high-quality choral rehearsal tracks for every voice part, bundled with the sheet music or purchased separately.
Peace
SATB"Peace flows into me" — is peace stillness, or does its constant motion bring us comfort? Melodic, harmonically modern, and attainable for self-selected high school ensembles through college and community choirs.
Alleluia
SATBComfort through a world of discomfort. This setting avoids root-position chords, exploring the emotional complexity of even the simplest harmonies — ending definitive, yet unsettled. Beauty and light through darkness.
Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
SSAAFrost's beloved poem, carefully set to create a powerful winter image. The voice-leading and repetition suit a developing choir, while the depth rewards refined high school, college, and community ensembles.
The Road Not Taken
SATBWritten after one-on-one conversations with high school seniors wrestling with their college choices — "what if I choose wrong?" This setting brings out the wonder and the doubt every step of the way. Perfect for festivals and graduation season.
The Star-Spangled Banner
SAB · SSAThe national anthem arrangement your choir can actually learn quickly — clean voice-leading, singable ranges, and a powerful result for games, ceremonies, and community events.
Beauty Shines
SSA"I am more than one dimension, I am more than what you see." An uplifting anthem of self-worth for young adults — beauty radiates from within, and shines through any dark cloud.
Shine
SATBAn expressive work for mixed voices — with full rehearsal tracks available for every part, so your singers can learn at home and shine in rehearsal.
They Seek
SSAA featured work for treble choir from the Choral Clarity collection — view the score and listen to the recording on the product page.
Oseh Shalom
SSAAA call for peace — a joint quest to stop fighting and share our Earth. Continuous, pent-up tension gives way to tentative moments of resolution: artistic, yet singable. Also available for SA children's choir.
Simple Gifts
SAB · SSAFull, traditional, and patriotic — written for the Plainview-Old Bethpage Mixed Choir and premiered at a community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. Under two minutes, and it sounds bigger than it is.
Oh Hanukkah
SAB · SSAThe ultimate festive Hanukkah piece — an "all-melody" arrangement where every singer gets the tune, so it sounds complex but can be learned in under 30 minutes. A crowd-pleaser with a cool piano part.
Dreidel
SATB · SAOne of the very few happy, uptempo Hanukkah songs — easy to learn, full of humor, and a real crowd-pleaser. Sing the concert version, take the shorter version caroling, or attach it to the end of "Carol of the Bells."

Original holiday rounds that are secretly diction lessons — each one targets a commonly mispronounced consonant pair, and each one is a crowd-pleaser. The one you need next is highlighted.
Trick or Treat Round
A fun round in 2, 4, or 8 parts (one ensemble sang it in 16!) — targeting the "tuh-ricky" consonant pairs like tr/ch and dr/j. Includes a list of commonly mispronounced consonants.
Thanksgiving / Fall Gratitude Round
Voiced and unvoiced "th," both requiring a forward tongue position — with a beautiful ending chord naturally infused into the round. No direct mention of Thanksgiving, so it works all fall.
December Holiday Round
One uplifting round that embraces every December celebration — an easy fit for a holiday concert or caroling packet, and a way to include every singer's tradition.
Valentine's Day Round
The voiced "v" against the unvoiced "f" — easy to learn, and it reinforces the "tr" articulation from the Trick or Treat Round. A sweet mid-winter rehearsal reset.
American Memorial Round
A solemn, beautiful performance piece for 9/11 ceremonies, Pearl Harbor Day, and Memorial Day — with the ending "Amen" voiced for SATB, SAB, SSA, SSAA, TTB, and TTBB.
5 Rounds I Use Every Year
All five original holiday rounds — plus Dona Nobis Pacem, Jubilate Deo, and Music Alone Shall Live — for skill-building, community, and show-stopping performances all year long.

Written for the choir you actually have
For nearly 30 years, Adam Paltrowitz has led a self-selected choral program — no separating students by talent or skill level — built on the belief that every student is a soloist. Every piece in this catalog was written or chosen with that room in mind: music that non-auditioned and auditioned choirs alike can learn quickly, perform confidently, and feel deeply.
His compositions and arrangements have been performed by primary, secondary, college, and community choirs around the world.
